Research the field of Corrections, correctional journals, correctional periodicals, various departments of correction, and other resources to determine current opinions regarding the use of Restrictive Housing in correctional facilities.
Write a report on your findings providing a description of the conditions of confinement for inmates placed in Restrictive Housing; the reasons for placement in RH status; mental health concerns for inmates both upon admission and release from RH status: and services provided to inmates in RH status.
Identify alternatives to the use of Restrictive Housing for inmates with Mental Health issues.
The report should include a minimum of two outside sources (not including course instructional materials).
