Description Question 1: Using Dr. Gentle’s lecture summary, our assigned reading from chapter 10 in Living the Good Life and the pdf handout in assignment #3 on Intrinsic evils, please answer the following questions: a) What is meant by the term “intrinsic evil”? — be specific in citing material from both Living the Good Life & the handout to help you come up with an in-depth definition. b) What bearing, if any, do circumstance, motive, and/or outcome have on determining which actions are deemed to be “intrinsic evils” ? c) What is the determining factor in whether a particular moral action falls under the category of “intrinsic evil?” Question 2: Using the material in the YouTube Portlet #1, Video #1, what additional insights did you gain about the nature of and existence of intrinsic evils? Why, as healthcare workers, must we be especially aware of the reality of intrinsic evils? Question 3:. Using the material in YouTube Portlet #1, Video #2, how do we define Euthanasia? Also, from this video, identify, name and discuss the teaching of the Catholic Faith, which is the same as the biblical view, on permitting or being involved, in any way, in the deliberate killing of human life. Question 4: Using the material in YouTube Portlet #1, Video #3, from the biblical point of view regarding the dignity of the human person, what are the basic principles involved in making an ethically good decision regarding the forgoing or stopping of a particular medical treatment for a particular patient in a particular circumstance? Please discuss in your answer the difference between ordinary care vs. extraordinary care, morally speaking -for particular patients. Sometimes this is termed as proportionate vs. disproportionate means. Can you offer an example from real life or your work with patients?
