Crisis management plan

Crisis management planning provides an opportunity for initiating action towards
recovery. Emergencies and disasters could impact on the effective implementation of the
successful public health program in communities. (Jackson et al., 2017) Disease outbreaks across

the community have the potential to disrupt the community intervention plans despite approval
from the stakeholders. Public health outbreaks negatively impact on the community’s focus on
the specific integration of the improvement plans. Avery & Graham (2016) assert that public
health professionals need to develop integrated crisis management plans that focus on the
mitigation of risks for communities with the aim of sustaining community livelihoods. As such,
public health professionals need to develop a crisis management plan with a set of strategies in
promoting community recovery in the sustainability of the community interventions.

The figure shows the crisis emergency intervention plan that may disrupt the implementation of
the program’s effectiveness while implementing remedial actions.

CRISIS MANAGEMENT PLAN 3
First, during the implementation of recovery measures, it would be essential to constitute
the response team towards specific public health concerns in reducing the vulnerability of the
crisis thereby promoting normalcy. The development of appropriate internal communication
among the workers and external communication to the communities would provide the rationale
for improving the subsequent improvement strategies. According to Burkle Jr. (2019), the
strategies comprise the preparedness strategies which emphasize on the program and resilience
development for a project’s improvement. Second, averting the danger from the community
intervention program and community members would provide the basis for diminishing the
potential impacts. The actions would enhance restraining the potential for extensive damage
across the communities and the program’s sustainable continuity. As such, the crisis actions
would focus on availing resources, personnel and initiating recovery processes in reducing the
community’s vulnerability and community program.
