Discussion Topic 1: Feasibility

Organizational feasibility analysis is essential in studying the economic
viability of a certain business or projects. Various organizational feasibility factors
are analyzed before adopting the best option that is better to help the organization
is strategic planning on its information system (Gogan, Baxter, Garfield, Usoff,
2011). To select the best strategy, for public health interventions, it is important for
the public health profession to consider organizational feasibility.
One of the factors that the health professional should consider is the
availability of the appropriate staffs. Staffs with the right skills and competence are
required to carry out certain projects and should be a key factor when a certain
project is required to be implemented. The costs of training the staffs if they lack
adequate skills to complete the given projects should also be put into consideration.

DISCUSSION TOPIC 1: FEASIBILITY 2
Other factors include the financial position of the organization. The public health
professional is required to evaluate whether the project is costly and whether the
organization is able to provide support for the project. A project may be viable but
lack of finances may hamper effective implementation. It is also vital to consider
whether the project will add value to the entity in the long run. Therefore, it is a
very critical point when coming up with a strategy.
The size and the culture of the agency should also be put into consideration
when coming up with a strategy. The information system or project should also be
able to spot and advance the values and cultures of the people in the organization.
Therefore, it is very important before implementation of a project such a s
information systems, the organization or public professionals should be able to
consider various factors such as the costs of the project, the availability of right
staffs and culture and size of an entity. Organization feasibility will guide in
decision-making and help the entity to adapt to better strategies.
