The student will select at least two patient population measurement tools and compare and contrast appropriateness to the issue. The student must choose which patient population measurement tool is most appropriate and address the tool’s relationship to the identified scenario and how the tool can be utilized in addressing the identified scenario. Furthermore, the student must propose a quality improvement plan and define the specific actions or interventions within each step of the QI plan as it relates to the student’s proposed project. For example, if the Plan Do Study Act (PDSA) QI plan is selected, the student must note what is to be done in the Plan phase of the project, followed by the Do phase, and so forth. Note that this is not simply providing a definition of each step of the QI plan but identifying what specific actions should be done for the proposed project to be successful.
